World Diabetes Day (WDD) is celebrated annually on November 14. Led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), World Diabetes Day was created in 1991 by IDF and the World Health Organization in response to growing concerns about the escalating health threat posed by diabetes. World Diabetes Day became an official United Nations Day in 2006 with the passage of United Nation Resolution 61/225.

In connection with the awareness activities TDC have planned several activities during November, awareness walk and screening camp was arranged at Lahore Clinic – Lahore on 13th November 2018 –  people from every walks of life taken advantage of this initiative and seek awareness from the executive penal of doctors and specialist from The Diabetes Centre – Islamabad.

TDC is a not for profit organization currently operating main hospital building at Islamabad and a pilot clinic at Lahore and have seen more than 80000 needy patients without charging them.
